I sent a pitch to a national magazine that I thought I could break into. She liked the first idea but said it wasn't quite a right fit and told me to submit more ideas. So I brainstormed a list of five ideas and sent the first idea that Scott and I agreed on.
That was in August.
I sent an email back in November, and she said she didn't have the query but would check into it.
Last Friday, I received an email that she liked the idea, but instead of a feature, it would be a FOB (front of book) piece. I'm so happy! It's a good break and I'm glad that I have the opportunity to write for this magazine!
